 Environmental Studies and Compliance

The Environmental Compliance and Evaluation Section provide environmental clearances for department projects, operation and maintenance, and for the field divisions. Environmental document review and oversight is another core activity of the section. Individual expertise in herpetology most notably the red legged frog and the giant garter snake provides a department lead for these threatened and endangered species. The section is a lead oversight for environmental documentation in FERC Relicensing of the Oroville dam CEQA/NEPA process.
