| The Environmental Site
Assessment Section was established in August 2003 to provide comprehensive
environmental assessment, property assessment, and hazardous materials
management services within DWR. The mission of ESAS is to ensure DWR’s
continued compliance with applicable State, federal and local environmental
laws and regulations; to support DWR projects and work activities for
the protection and restoration of the State’s ecosystems; and to
minimize DWR’s liability for hazardous substance contamination and
remediation.
ESAS consists of a multi-disciplinary team of environmental
professionals responsible for performing or delivering the following client-based
services:
